A crisis resiliency survey of over 200 executives at large global companies revealed that a top concern is the ability to proactively identify physical threats. When looking at known and emerging threats, the impact of civil unrest and natural / weather-related disasters were most worrisome. The study also notes that today’s dynamic risk landscape is heavily influenced by globalization and the proliferation of data.
Almost half (45%) of executives stated that inadequate threat monitoring and detection hindered their security operations and cited key obstacles as having the right technology and appropriately trained / skilled staff.
